About Courtney

Compassionate care. Specialized experience. Individualized support.

I believe that every child, adolescent, and young adult deserves a supportive environment where they feel heard, understood, and valued. My goal is to provide a welcoming space where clients can explore emotions, navigate challenges, develop healthy coping skills, and build confidence as they grow.

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina with 10 years of professional counseling experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. My background includes individual counseling, play-based interventions, parent consultation, treatment planning, crisis assessment and intervention, and collaboration with schools and other professionals.

I earned a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Certificate in Play Therapy from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I also earned a Master's degree in School Psychology in 2025 and a Specialist degree in School Psychology in 2026. My additional graduate training has strengthened my understanding of learning, development, attention, behavior, and social-emotional functioning.

I hold certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through the National Therapist Certification Program. I tailor counseling to each client's developmental level, strengths, experiences, and needs, and value thoughtful collaboration with families when appropriate.
